Hi everyone,
apologies for the long absence, but it has been a crazy semester! The whole Edwards lab has been running at full-tilt since we've been back from the Aleutians. My own thesis work has taken me from San Diego to Monterey (CA), Palos Verdes, and even to Baja California! But more on that later. Next week I will be embarking on a very different sort of research cruise; this time I will be joining ~50 graduate students from a variety of countries on a Russian research vessel! We'll be sailing aboard the Akademik Tyroshnikov from Bremerhaven, Germany, to Cape Town, South Africa. As a teaser for the up-coming cruise, check out this video highlighting our 2016 Aleutians cruise: Stay tuned for more phycological, and soon to be oceanographic, adventures!
