In the summer of 2016 the Edwards Lab (SDSU) joined with the Konar Lab from the University of Alaska Fairbanks on the first of two research expeditions in the Aleutian Archipelago. Check out some of the highlights from year one!

Year two (2017) of our Aleutian Archipelago study brought us to the far end of the island chain! Join  the Edwards Lab (SDSU) and the Konar Lab (UAF) as we journey all the way west across the Aleutian Archipelago to investigate the remote rocky reefs.

In late 2016, 50 graduate students from  eight countries sailed together on a Russian ice breaker from Germany to Cape Town. This is a little slideshow about the life and times of the ACE Maritime University students on ACE Leg Zero. 

In 2015 I was given the opportunity of a life time. During the summer I spent three months working on a number of SCUBA-related projects supported by the National Park Service. This incredible internship was put together by the NPS's Submerged Resources Center and the Our World-Underwater Scholarship Society®.
